August 4, 2018 - Theiss Visits Cedar Lake Speedway for USA Nationals
1Thursday night saw Austin Theiss return to action at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned weekend. Drawing 45 cars for the 31st annual USA Nationals, Theiss laid down the 23rd fastest time in his qualifying group before placing 11th in his heat race. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Austin logged a 13th place outing.

The following night for two rounds of heat races, Theiss dropped two spots in his first heat logging an 8th place finish. Starting his second heat in 4th, Austin posted a 6th place finish positioning him 35th in overall passing points.

Slated to start 10th in his B-Main for one final shot at the $50,000-to-win finale on Saturday night, Theiss failed to make it out for the 15-lap consolation event. Earning a spot into the FANSFund Dash, Austin slipped back to a 9th place outing in the 12-lapper.

July 28, 2018 - Austin Theiss Salvages Podium Finish at Big O Speedway
1Austin Theiss invaded Big O Speedway (Ennis, Texas) on Saturday for the regular night of racing. After suffering a flat-tire late in the feature, Austin hung on to place 3rd.

June 30, 2018 - Theiss Attends Freedom Classic at Salina Highbanks Speedway
1On Friday night Austin Theiss traveled to Salina Highbanks Speedway (Pryor Creek, Oklahoma) for the two-day event sanctioned by both the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA). After mechanical issues prevented him from competing in his heat, Theiss advanced through the field 10 spots in his B-Main only to come up short after a late-race spin.

1Returning on Saturday for the second round of the ARMI Freedom Classic, Theiss jumped up two spots in his heat logging a 5th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the finale, Austin scored a 3rd place finish positioning him 17th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Austin Theiss was an early retiree from the 40-lap feature while being credited with a 23rd place outing.

June 2, 2018 - Podium Finish With Southern Texas Late Model Series
1Saturday night found Tyler Millwood in action at 105 Speedway (Cleveland, Texas) for the Southern Texas Late Model Series sanctioned program. With $800 on the line in the feature, Theiss landed a 3rd place finish in the 25-lapper trailing G.W. Egbert IV and Steven Whiteaker Jr. across the line with Robbie Starnes and Brandon Brzozowski completing the Top-5 finishers.

May 26, 2018 - Austin Theiss Tops Louisiana Late Model Series Field at Boothill Speedway
Austin Theiss invaded Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) on Saturday night for the Louisiana Late Model Series sanctioned Memorial Day Shootout. Gaining one spot in his heat race, Theiss landed a 2nd place finish behind Rick Duke Jr. positioning him 3rd on the starting grid for the feature. Overtaking Robbie Stuart for the lead near the half-way point of the 30-lapper, Austin held off the field in the remaining circuits to pick up his second win of the season and a $1,500 payday. May 5, 2018 - Theiss Lands 9th Place Finish in Pelican 50 at Ark-La-Tex Speedway
1On Saturday night Austin Theiss visited Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned Pelican 50. With 20 Super Late Models on hand, Austin locked his spot into the $4,000-to-win A-Main with a 6th place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 16th, Theiss advanced through the field seven spots in the 40-lapper to place 9th.

April 28, 2018 - Top 10 Finish With CCSDS at Batesville
Returning with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Austin Theiss was one of 26 Super Late Models signed in at Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas) on Friday night for the $2,000 top prize. Starting the night off with a heat race win, Theiss earned the 4th-starting position for the feature. Hanging on to a Top-10 finish, Austin scored a 10th place spot in the 30-lap affair.

1On Saturday night the CCSDS joined the Lucas Oil MLRA Series for the co-sanctioned event at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Missouri). Coming in 8th in his heat race, Austin transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Sending the Top-5 into the show, Theiss fell short with a 7th place outing.

April 22, 2018 - Runner-up Finish in Night Three of Short Track Shootout at SNMS
1Friday night brought Austin Theiss to Southern New Mexico Speedway (Las Cruces, New Mexico) for the three-day Short Track Shootout. In a field of 19 Super Late Models, Theiss locked his spot into the opening night feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Dropping four spots, Austin logged a 17th place outing.

On Saturday evening Theiss locked his spot into the $1,000-to-win A-Main with an 8-lap heat race victory. Rolling off 4th, Austin slipped up one position in the 20-lapper to place 5th behind Fito Gallardo, Clay Daly, Jake Gallardo, and G.W. Egbert.

Wrapping up the Short Track Shootout on Sunday, Theiss had already locked into the 7th-starting position for the feature via preliminary events. April 7, 2018 - Austin Theiss Bags First Win of the Season at Battleground Speedway
After Mother Nature wiped out the annual Bad Boy 98 at Bateville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas), Austin Theiss made the short trip to Battleground Speedway (Highlands, Texas) on Saturday evening for the regular night of racing. Improving one spot in his heat race, Theiss landed a 2nd place finish locking him on the front-row for the main event. March 24, 2018 - 9th Place Finish in Will McGary Tribute at I-30 Speedway
1On Friday night Austin Theiss made the trip to Old No 1. Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned opener. In a field of 27 cars, Theiss failed to make the feature via his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Following a consolation victory, Austin wheeled his way up to a 12th place finish in the feature

January 14, 2018 - 18th Place Finish in Night Three of WWS
Austin Theiss was back in action at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Wednesday night for round three of the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout. In a field of 45 cars, Theiss timed in second quickest in his group before capturing an 8-lap heat race victory. 1After a scheduled off day on Thursday, Theiss was one of 46 Super Late Models signed in on Friday night for the fourth round of the six-race tour. Following the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group, Theiss logged a 9th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the show, Austin registered an 11th place outing ending his night early.

The following night, Theiss posted a 10th place finish in his heat race giving him one final shot at the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place in the Top 5, Austin came up two spots shy of at transfer position with a 6th place finish.

Wrapping up the 12th annual Wild West Shootout on Sunday, Austin dropped back to a 12th place outing in his heat sending him into the B-Main for one final shot at the $13,000-to-win finale. Transferring the Top 4, Theiss recorded a 11th place outing bringing an early end to his weekend.

January 7, 2018 - Austin Theiss Begins 2018 Season at Wild West Shootout
1Bringing the 2018 season to life, Austin Theiss traveled to FK ROD Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) on Saturday night kicking off the 12th annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout. Drawing 50 Super Late Models for the first round of the six-race tour, Theiss timed in second fastest in his qualifying group before landing a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Ricky Weiss. Earning the 9th-starting position for the opening feature, Austin slipped back to a 21st place outing in the 40-lap affair.

Returning on Sunday evening for another $5,000-to-win A-Main, Austin came up one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 4th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main, Theiss logged a13th place finish ending his night early.

December 27th, 2017 - Theiss Registers One Win During 2017 Season
The 2017 season saw Austin Theiss attend a total of 37 events while visiting victory lane one time at Cotton Bowl Speedway (Paige, Texas) for the Southern Texas Late Model Series sanctioned program. Losing nine of his scheduled dates to Mother Nature, Theiss collected 14 Top-10 outings and 10 Top-5 finishes.

December 16th, 2017 - Theiss Wraps Up 2017 at Gateway Dirt Nationals
1Austin Theiss made the trek to The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Missouri) on Thursday night kicking off the second annual VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals. Splitting the stout field of 94 Super Late Models into two separate groups, Theiss recorded the fifth fastest time positioning him on the front row of his heat race on Friday night.

November 25th, 2017 - Austin Theiss Visits Lonestar for Turkey Nationals
1Competing in the final COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) event of the season, Austin Theiss traveled to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Saturday night for the Topless Turkey Nationals. Holding his spot in his heat race, Theiss landed a 2nd place finish behind Zach McMillan positioning him 7th on the starting grid for the main event. With $5,000 on the line, Austin was battling for a Top 10 finish until a tangle on lap 14 prevented him from finish in the 40-lap affair. He was credited with a 18th place outing.

October 28th, 2017 - Theiss Attends Midwest Dirt Track Championship at Thunderbird Speedway
Friday night brought Austin Theiss to Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) kicking off the Midwest Dirt Track Championship. With 23 Super Late Models on hand for the unsanctioned weekend, Theiss suffered mechanical issues in his heat race that prevented him from finishing. October 14th, 2017 - Engine Trouble Ends Theiss Night at Tri-State
1Austin Theiss headed to Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) on Friday night for the 38th annual Spooker. Following the fifth fastest time in a field of 21 Super Late Models, Theiss landed a 6th place finish in his heat securing his spot into the A-Main on Saturday night. After working his way into the Top 5, Austin suffered a broken motor that ended his night immediately.

Competing in a total of 38 events throughout the 2016 season, Austin Theiss posted 12 Top 10 finishes. With the weather determining the outcome of eight of his scheduled events, Theiss registered six Top 5 outings.
