Austin Theiss charges to Top-10 outing at Pike County Speedway

With a doubleheader weekend on tap, Austin Thiess was one of 43 Gulf South / Mississippi Crate Late Models checked in at Baton Rouge (La.) SPeedway on Friday evening.

Earning his spot in the $1,500-to-win feature through a B-Main, Theiss made up three spots in 25-laps to finish 18th.

Hoping to find more speed at Pike County Speedway (Magnolia, Miss.) on Saturday, Theiss once again transferred to the feature through a B-Main. Rolling off 18th in the second $1,500-to-win main event of the weekend, Thiess stormed through the field and went on a 18th-to-sixth charge to land inside the Top-10.
