October 28th, 2017 - Theiss Attends Midwest Dirt Track Championship at Thunderbird Speedway
Friday night brought Austin Theiss to Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) kicking off the Midwest Dirt Track Championship. With 23 Super Late Models on hand for the unsanctioned weekend, Theiss suffered mechanical issues in his heat race that prevented him from finishing. Earning the 22nd-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday night, Austin was an early retiree from the 40-lapper while being credited with a 19th place outing. (Todd Boyd photo)

October 14th, 2017 - Engine Trouble Ends Theiss Night at Tri-State
1Austin Theiss headed to Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) on Friday night for the 38th annual Spooker. Following the fifth fastest time in a field of 21 Super Late Models, Theiss landed a 6th place finish in his heat securing his spot into the A-Main on Saturday night. After working his way into the Top 5, Austin suffered a broken motor that ended his night immediately.

October 7th, 2017 - Theiss Follows Southern Texas Late Model Series to Gator Motorplex
On Saturday night Austin Theiss returned with the Southern Texas Late Model Series at Gator Motorplex (Willis, Texas) for the $800 top prize. Moving up two spots in his heat, Theiss recorded a 2nd place finish behind Patrik Daniel earning him the 2nd-starting position for the A-Main. Holding his spot for all 25-laps, Austin posted a 2nd place finish behind Daniel with GW Egbert, Brandon Brzozowski, and Ricky Begnaud rounding out the Top 5.

September 23rd, 2017 - Runner-up Finish at Southern Oklahoma Speedway
Austin Theiss traveled to I-37 Speedway (Pleasanton, Texas) on Saturday night for the Southern Texas Late Model Series sanctioned event. With 16 cars signed, Theiss locked his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Kevin Sitton. With $1,100 on the line, Austin improved one spot in the 30-lapper to place 3rd behind Sitton and Cody Leonard with Ricky Begnaud and Colton Horner rounding out the Top 5.

September 16th, 2017 - Runner-up Finish at Southern Oklahoma Speedway
1Friday night found Austin Theiss return to action at Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) for the Sooner Late Model Series sanctioned program. Passing three cars in his heat race, Theiss landed a runner-up finish locking him into the 4th-starting position for the $750-to-win A-Main. Breaking into a podium spot, Austin jumped up two spots in the 25-lapper to place 2nd behind Bo Day with Gary Lowe, Ritchie Burcik, and Sammy Wilson completing the Top 5 finishers.

Saturday brought Theiss to Chatham Speedway (Chatham, Louisiana) for another $750 top prize. Moving up two spots in his heat, Theiss recorded a 3rd place finish positioning him 7th on the starting grid for the feature. Holding his spot for the entire distance of the A-Main, Austin posted a 7th place outing.

August 19th, 2017 - 7th Place Finish With SLMS at Southern Oklahoma Speedway
1Competing in a pair of the Sooner Late Model Series events, Austin Theiss visited Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) on Friday evening for the $750 top prize. After battling for the lead in his heat race, Theiss suffered a broken tie rod transferring him into the B-Main with the 16th-starting position. Wheeling his way into the Top 5, Austin was challenging for a podium spot until he was spun around by another competitor. Joining the field from the tail, Austin Theiss rallied back to a 7th place finish.

The following night Austin was one of 20 cars on hand at Oklahoma Sports Park (Ada, Oklahoma) for another $750-to-win A-Main. Following a 3rd place finish in his heat race, Theiss was an early retiree from the 25-lap feature after the front-end of his car was destroyed by another competitor.

August 5th, 2017 - Austin Kicks of World of Outlaws Weekend
1Behind the wheel of the Northside Plumbing & Supply #7D Super Late Model, Austin Theiss made the trip to Shawano Speedway (Shawano, Wisconsin) on Wednesday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Models Series sanctioned program. With 30 cars on hand for the eighth annual Sun Drop Shootout, Theiss failed to make it out for his heat race after a broken shock in time trials sent him into the wall. Getting the car straightened up before the start of his B-Main, Austin improved two positions in the consolation event but came short of a transfer spot in the A-Main.

1After losing Thursday night’s opener to Mother Nature, Austin Theiss returned to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) on Friday evening for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned weekend. Drawing 42 Super Late Models for the 30th annual USA Nationals, Theiss passed two cars in his heat race registering a 8th place finish. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the opening night feature, Austin came up two positions short with a 5th place outing.

Later on Friday night, Theiss followed up the eighteenth fastest time in his qualifying group with an 8th place finish in his heat race. Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday night for another shot at the $50,000-to-win finale, Austin dropped back to a 11th place finish in his consolation event ending his weekend early.

July 22nd, 2017 - Theiss Records a Pair of Top 5 Finishes
1On Friday night Austin Theiss traveled to Heart O’ Texas Speedway (Waco, Texas) for the Southern Texas Late Model Series sanctioned event. In a field of 13 Super Late Models, Theiss passed two cars in his heat race to place 2nd behind Jim Moon. Earning the pole position for the 20-lap feature, Austin dropped two positions registering a 3rd place finish behind Moon and Robert Scrivner with GW Egbert IV and JP Dowell completing the Top 5 finishers.

1The following night saw Theiss make his first start of the season at 281 Speedway (Stephenville, Texas) for the regular night of racing. Jumping up two spots in his heat race, Austin charged to a 10-lap heat race win positioning him 2nd on the starting grid for the feature. Losing two positions in the 20-lapper, Austin Theiss posted a 4th place finish behind Jim Moon, Robert Scrivner, and JP Dowell with Casey Burnett coming in 5th.

July 7th, 2017 - Austin Theiss Follows Hell Tour on Land of Lincoln Swing
1Back with the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour on Monday, Austin Theiss stopped at Quincy Raceway (Quincy, Illinois) for the 16th stop of the tour. Coming one spot shy of a transfer spot in his heat race with a 5th place finish, Austin went on to edge his way into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with the 2nd and final transfer spot in his B-Main. Rolling off 18th for the feature, Theiss failed to improve logging an 18th place finish.

The following night brought 36 Hell Tour competitors to Fayette County Speedway (Brownstown, Illinois) for the Fourth of July special. Falling one spot shy of a transfer position in his heat race with a 5th place spot. Austin transferred into the B-Main with a 3rd-starting position. Sending the Top 2, Theiss scored a runner-up finish behind Daryn Klein locking him into the 18th-starting position for the A-Main. Dropping one spot in the 50-lapper, Austin recorded a 19th place outing.

After Mother Nature washed away the 18th round at Belle-Clair Speedway (Belleville, Illinois), Theiss headed to Macon Speedway (Macon, Illinois) on Thursday for the 37th annual Herald & Review 100. Holding his spot in his heat race, Austin scored a 4th place finish positioning him 13th on the starting grid for the feature. On Friday night Theiss wrapped up his stint in the Hell Tour for the $10,000 top prize at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois). In a stout field of 40 Super Late Models, Austin held his spot in his 10-lap heat race to place 8th. Transferring into the C-Main for another shot at the feature, Theiss posted a 3rd place finish sending him into the B-Main. Needing a 2nd place finish or better to make the main event. Austin Theiss improved seven positions but came up short with a 8th place outing.

Saturday's COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) event at Boothill Speedway (Shreveport, Louisiana) was rained out by Mother Nature.

July 2nd, 2017 - Theiss Debuts with Summer Nationals Hell Tour
1Making the trip to the Land of Lincoln, Austin Theiss kicked off the Fourth of July weekend on Friday at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois) for the regular night of racing. After timing in sixth fastest in a field of 16 cars, Theiss landed a 4th place finish in his heat race locking him into the 8th-starting spot for the feature. Holding his spot for the entire distance, Austin recorded an 8th place outing.

1Saturday night brought Theiss to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Indiana) for the MARS DIRTcar East Series sanctioned event. With 26 Super Late Models on hand, Austin secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat race. Starting in 12th for the Born Free 40, Theiss held on for all 40-laps to place 12th.

On Sunday Austin made his first start of UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour for $5,000 top prize at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Illinois). Following the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group, Theiss spun around on lap 5 of his heat race sending him back to a 9th place outing. June 24th, 2017 - Pair of Top 5 Finishes Over the Weekend
1Austin Theiss visited Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) on Friday night for the Sooner Late Model Series sanctioned event. Passing two cars in his heat race, Austin registered a 4th place finish locking him into the 9th-starting spot for the $750-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top 5, Theiss improved four spots to place 5th behind Bo Day, Joseph Gorby, David Hennan, and Jason Redman.

On Saturday Theiss stopped at Elk City Speedway (Elk City, Oklahoma) for the regular night of racing. After starting the night off with a heat race victory, Austin posted a 4th place finish in the A-Main.

June 17th, 2017 - Theiss Visits Baton Rouge Raceway for SUPR Event
1On Saturday night Austin Theiss made the trip to Baton Rouge Raceway (Baker, Louisiana) for the Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) sanctioned contest. In a field of 10 cars, Theiss secured his spot into the $1,500-to-win A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. Starting in 7th, Austin fell one spot in the 20-lapper to place 8th.

May 27th, 2017 - Mechanical Woes End Theiss' Night at Chatham Speedway
Austin Theiss kicked off the Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday night at Chatham Speedway (Chatham, Louisiana) for the Memorial Race. Starting the night off with a heat race win from the 5th-starting position. Austin earned the 4th-starting spot for the feature. With $2,500 on the line, Theiss was making the pass for 2nd until something broke, sending him spinning and pitside.

May 20th, 2017 - Top 5 Finish with MARS Series at Longdale Speedway
Making his first start of the season with the MARS DIRTcar West Series, Austin Theiss traveled to Longdale Speedway (Longdale, Oklahoma) on Saturday night for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. In a field of 19 Super Late Models, Theiss followed up the ninth fastest time in qualifying with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. May 6th, 2017 - Bad Luck For Theiss in STLMS Show at Battleground Speedway
1Back with the Southern Texas Late Model Series, Austin Theiss traveled to Battleground Speedway (Highlands, Texas) on Saturday night for the $800-to-win A-Main. Getting caught behind a wreck on the very first lap of the feature, Theiss' night was over before he was able to complete a lap.

April 15th, 2017 - Podium Finish for Theiss at Gator Motoplex
1On Saturday night Austin Theiss invaded Gator Motorplex (Willis, Texas) competing in the Southern Texas Late Model Series sanctioned event. With 15 cars signed in, Theiss started the night off with a heat race win positioning him on the front row for the feature. Swapping back and forth for the lead with Jim Moon throughout the feature, Austin settled with a 2nd place outing behind Moon when the checkered flag flew. Robert Metz Jr., Howard Willis, and G.W. Egbert completed Top 5 finishers.

April 8th, 2017 - Theiss Heads to BMS for Bad Boy 98
1Following the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Austin Theiss made the trip to Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas) on Friday for the two-day Bad Boy 98. Drawing 45 Super Late Models for the event co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Austin recorded an 11th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 3 into the $20,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Theiss came short of a transfer position with a 13th place outing.

April 1st, 2017 - Austin Theiss Competes in CCSDS Opening Weekend
1Behind the wheel of the Northside plumbing Supply #7D Super Late Model, Austin Theiss visited Timberline Speedway (Maud, Texas) on Friday night for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) opening weekend. In a field of 25 cars, Theiss locked his spot into the A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind B.J. Robinson. With $2,000 on the line, Austin slipped back to a 17th place outing in the 35-lapper.

On Saturday the CCSDS picked back up at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for the $3,000 top prize. Registering a 3rd place finish in his heat, Theiss locked into the 7th-starting position for the A-Main. March 18th, 2017 - Theiss Reels in First Victory of Season at Cotton Bowl Speedway
1 On Friday night Austin Theiss was one of 25 Super Late Models signed in at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for the annual Pelican. Starting 9th in his heat race, Theiss posted a 7th place finish positioning him 19th on the starting grid for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Austin was forced to withdraw early for the A-Main after experiencing overheating issues.

The following night brought Theiss to Cotton Bowl Speedway (Paige, Texas) for the Southern Texas Late Model Series season opener. In a field of 17 cars, Theiss improved four spots to place 3rd in his heat. Rolling off 6th for the A-Main, Austin wheeled his way on the top of the track to his first victory of the season and an $800 payday. Colton Horner, Kevin Sitton, G.W. February 18th, 2017 - Austin Theiss Begins 2017 Season at Screven Motor Speedway
1The 2017 racing season kicked off for Austin Theiss on Friday night at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series opening weekend. With 44 Super Late Models signed in for the two-day Winter Freeze VII, Theiss registered a 9th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Needing a 3rd place finish or better to make the opening night A-Main, Austin logged a 12th place outing.

Starting on the sixth row of his heat on Saturday, Theiss posted a 11th place spot giving him one last shot at the $10,000-to-win main event with a B-Main appearance. Taking the Top 3, Austin fell back to a 11th place finish bringing an early end to his night.

December 17th, 2016 - Theiss Wraps up Season at Gateway Dirt Nationals
1 Running in the inaugural VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals presented by Karl Performance, Austin Theiss was one of 97 Super Late Models signed in at The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Missouri) on Thursday for three-day unsanctioned weekend. Competing in two rounds of qualifying, Theiss earned the 9th-starting position for his heat race on Friday based off his times. Transferring only heat race winner into the opening night $5,000-to-win show, Austin registered a 7th place spot transferring him into the C-Main. Needing a 4th place finish or better to get a shot at the B-Main, Austin Theiss logged a 12th place outing.

November 26th, 2016 - Austin Theiss Competes in SUPR Series Finale
1Closing out the Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) season, Austin Theiss headed to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Saturday night for the Lone Star Turkey Nationals. Earning the 9th-starting spot for the $3,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary results, Austin fell back to a 15th place outing in the 40-lap affair.

November 19th, 2016 - Theiss Visits Leesville for Bash on the Bayou
1On Saturday night Austin Theiss was one of 26 Super Late Models signed in at Leesville 171 Speedway (Leesville, Louisiana) for the unsanctioned Bash on the Bayou. Recording a 3rd place finish in his heat race, Austin earned the 10th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Moving up two spots, Theiss reeled in a 8th place finish.

November 12th, 2016 - Austin Improves 16 Spots in the Texas Grand at Battleground Speedway
1Behind the wheel of the Northside Plumbing Supply #7D Super Late Model, Austin Theiss invaded Battleground Speedway (Highlands, Texas) on Saturday night for the unsanctioned Texas Grand. Missing out on qualifying Friday night, Austin started on the tail of his B-Main but suffered mechanical issues forcing him to pull off. Rolling off 20th for the main event, Theiss wheeled his way through the field 16 spots posting a 4th place finish behind Chris Brown, Colton Horner, and Tyler Erb with Robbie Starnes coming in 5th.

October 29th, 2016 - Theiss Attends LA State Championships at Baton Rouge Raceway
1Running in the two-day Louisiana State Championships, Austin Theiss headed to Baton Rouge Raceway (Baker, Louisiana) on Friday for the unsanctioned program. Coming from the 6th-starting position in his heat, Theiss landed a 2nd place finish securing his spot into the opening night main event. After passing six cars in the feature and working his way into a podium position, Austin experienced overheating issues forcing him to pull off.

On Saturday night rolling off 6th in his heat, Austin posted a 3rd place finish putting him 14th on the starting rundown for the feature. Breaking into the Top 10, Theiss improved seven spots posting a 7th place finish.

December 12th, 2015 - Theiss Records Two Wins
Making his way to thirty-three shows on the 2015 season, Austin Theiss captured two victories on the year. With the rain affecting nine of his scheduled events, Theiss registered nine top top ten finishes. Austin also recorded four top five finishes during the 2015 campaign.
