April 28, 2018 - Top 10 Finish With CCSDS at Batesville
Returning with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Austin Theiss was one of 26 Super Late Models signed in at Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas) on Friday night for the $2,000 top prize. Starting the night off with a heat race win, Theiss earned the 4th-starting position for the feature. Hanging on to a Top-10 finish, Austin scored a 10th place spot in the 30-lap affair.

1On Saturday night the CCSDS joined the Lucas Oil MLRA Series for the co-sanctioned event at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Missouri). Coming in 8th in his heat race, Austin transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Sending the Top-5 into the show, Theiss fell short with a 7th place outing.

April 22, 2018 - Runner-up Finish in Night Three of Short Track Shootout at SNMS
1Friday night brought Austin Theiss to Southern New Mexico Speedway (Las Cruces, New Mexico) for the three-day Short Track Shootout. In a field of 19 Super Late Models, Theiss locked his spot into the opening night feature with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Dropping four spots, Austin logged a 17th place outing.

On Saturday evening Theiss locked his spot into the $1,000-to-win A-Main with an 8-lap heat race victory. Rolling off 4th, Austin slipped up one position in the 20-lapper to place 5th behind Fito Gallardo, Clay Daly, Jake Gallardo, and G.W. Egbert.

Wrapping up the Short Track Shootout on Sunday, Theiss had already locked into the 7th-starting position for the feature via preliminary events. With $1,200 on the line, Austin improved five spots to place 2nd behind G.W. Egbert with Xavier Ortega, Kody Hardage, and Steve Stultz completing the Top-5 finishers. (Jim Rosas photo)

April 7, 2018 - Austin Theiss Bags First Win of the Season at Battleground Speedway
After Mother Nature wiped out the annual Bad Boy 98 at Bateville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas), Austin Theiss made the short trip to Battleground Speedway (Highlands, Texas) on Saturday evening for the regular night of racing. Improving one spot in his heat race, Theiss landed a 2nd place finish locking him on the front-row for the main event. Taking control of the lead early, Austin Theiss cruised to his first win of the season in the feature. (Ron Skinner photo)
