September 27th, 2014 - Austin Theiss Enters Armidillo Nationals at Lonestar
1Austin Theiss tackled the high-banks of Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for the annual Armadillo Nationals, which posted a $10,000 top prize.

Forty-five Open Wheel Modifieds registered for preliminary action on Thursday night, which saw Austin draw the pole position for his heat race. Unfortunately, he faded to a seventh place which sent him to a b-main, where he started ninth. Theiss charged to a sixth place finish in the b-main, but only the top four finishers advanced to the 25 lap, preliminary feature as his night came to an early end.

Preliminary events continued on Friday night, and Austin started his outing with a ninth to fifth run in his heat race. Falling short of the transfer, Theiss once again had to a run a b-main. He went on to win his b-main from the pole position, locking him into the eighteenth starting for the feature event. In the feature Theiss advanced to a fifteenth place finish in the final rundown.

Drivers accumulated points over the two preliminary days to determine the line-ups for Saturday's events. Via his efforts Austin earned the fifth starting spot for the second b-main. Unfortunately, he failed to reach a transfer position into the 50 lap finale as his weekend came to an early end.

September 13th, 2014 - Theiss Finishes Fourth at Gator Motorplex with GCMTS
1After rain nixed the teams scheduled event at Leesville 171 Speedway, Austin traveled to Gator Motorplex (Willis, Texas) for a Gulf Coast Modified Touring Series program.

Theiss started his outing by charging to a heat race win to lock into the main event. Passing was difficult in the feature as Austin raced his #7D Theiss Motorsports/LG21/Mullins Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified to a fourth place finish in the final rundown.

September 6th, 2014 - Theiss Resumes Competition
1Austin Theiss resumed competition on Friday night with a Texas Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) event at Mountain Creek Speedway (Grand Prairie, Texas).

Austin starting his outing with a third place finish in heat race action to lock into the outside-front-row for the feature. He slipped back to eighth early on but progressively worked his way back into the top five. Theiss was running fourth when contact from another competitor resulted in a flat tire on his #7D Theiss Motorsports/LG21/Mullins Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified, bringing his night to an early end.

Saturday night's program at Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) was nixed by rain.
