June 28th, 2014 - Theiss Back in Action with USMTS
1Austin Theiss resumed action with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Thursday evening at Grayson County Speedway (Bells, Texas).

After a pair of rain-outs earlier in the week, a stout field of forty USMTS Open Wheel Modifieds converged on the 1/4 mile oval, ready to battle for the $2,000 top prize. Unfortunately, Austin battled the setup on his #7D Theiss Motorsports/LG21/Mullins Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified throughout the night, and failed to reach a transfer spot into the 40 lap finale.

Friday night found the team pitted at Superbowl Speedway (Greenville, Texas) for another $2,000-to-win USMTS program. Austin finished fourth in his heat race among forty-four, leaving him short of locking into the finale. As a results he had to run a b-main where he failed to reach a transfer spot into the 40 lap feature as his night came to an early end.

On Saturday night the team traveled to Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) with the USMTS warriors. A $2,000 winner's check was posted, as Austin continued to battle the setup on his #7D Theiss Motorsports entry. A talented group of forty-two competitors registered for battle. Theiss once again finished fifth in heat race action, and missed the transfer into the 40 lap feature via the b-main.

June 21st, 2014 - Austin Theiss Tackles USMTS
1Austin Theiss tackled a pair of events in Oklahoma and Texas with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) over the weekend.

Friday night found the team pitted at Elk City Speedway (Elk City, Oklahoma) for a $2,000-to-win event. Thirty-four Open Wheel Modifieds entered the event, and third place finish in his heat race would earn Austin the twelfth starting spot in the 40 lap finale. Austin battled the handle on his entry in the feature, and retired to a 22nd place finish in the final rundown.

On Saturday night action shifted to Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo, Texas) for another $2,000-to-win program. A stout field of forty-one entries were on hand, as Theiss continued to battle the setup on his mount. Austin finished fourth in heat race action, which wasn't enough to lock him into the 40 lap feature. As a result he ran a b-main where he failed to reach a transfer position into the finale.

June 14th, 2014 - Theiss Charges to Sixth at Lonestar
1Theiss Motorsports made the trek to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Saturday night for the $2,000-to-win, Armadillo Nationals Warm-Up event.

In preliminary action Austin narrowly missed the transfer into the main event via his heat race, forcing him to run a b-main. A third place finish in the b-main would earn him the fifteenth starting spot in the finale. During the course of the feature Theiss advanced nine positions en route to a solid sixth place finish.

June 7th, 2014 - Third Place Finish at Leesville 171
After a few weeks away from the track, Austin Theiss returned to the driver's seat on Saturday night for a Weekly Racing Series event at Leesville 171 Speedway (Leesville, Louisiana).

Austin drew the pole position for heat race action at the 1/4 mile oval, and battled the handle on his entry to a third place finish. As a results he started sixth on the grid for the feature. In the main event Theiss wasted no time in his march toward front, running third with a straightaway gap between himself and the top two at the halfway point. Austin was able to reel in the lead duo but came up short of make a bid for the lead as the checkered flag waved. Finishing third behind race winner, Adam Willis, and Derek Perkins.
