July 26th, 2014 - Theiss Struggles in GCMTS Action
1Austin entered a doubleheader of racing action with the Gulf Coast Modified Touring Series (GCMTS) over the weekend.

The weekend opened on Friday night at Royal Purple Raceway (Baytown, Texas), where Austin drew the ninth starting spot for his heat race. He advanced to a sixth place finish to lock into the tenth starting spot on the feature grid. During the course of the feature Theiss battled around the top ten for much of the event, and registered a ninth place finish at the checkered flag.

On Saturday night action shifted to Bronco Raceway Park (Cleveland, Texas). After a second place finish in his preliminary heat race, Austin had high hopes for the feature. Unfortunately Theiss was collected in a melee early in the race, bringing his night to a disappointing early end.

July 19th, 2014 - Top Five Finish at Battleground
1After a week away from the track, Austin resumed competition on Saturday night with the Gulf Coast Modifieds tour at Battleground Speedway (Highlands, Texas). Theiss struggled a little in heat race action but managed a third place finish to lock into the main event. In the feature Austin raced to a solid fifth place finish in the final rundown aboard his #7D Theiss Motorsports/LG21/Mullins Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified. July 4th, 2014 - Austin Travels to Devil's Bowl
1Austin Theiss traveled to Devil's Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) on Friday night. The Texas Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) sanctioned the $1,500-to-win program that drew a field of thirty-one Open Wheel Modifieds. Austin fell just short of locking into the main event via heat race action, but a third place finish in the first b-main would secure him a starting spot in the 25 lap finale. In the feature Theiss drove his #7D Theiss Motorsports/LG21/Mullins Racing Engine Open Wheel Modified to a sixteenth place finish in the final rundown.
